Scholarship amount

Degree:

  • Level A: $13,340.40 per year (2 sessions, equivalent to 30 credits) or $6,670.20 per session (15 credits) or $444.68 per credit.
  • Level B: $6,357.60 per year (2 sessions, equivalent to 30 credits) or $3,178.80 per session (15 credits) or $211.92 per credit.

Master:

  • Non-research: $10,474.65 per year (3 sessions, equivalent to 45 credits) or $3,491.55 per session (equivalent to 15 credits) or $232.77 per credit
    This amount applies to the tuition fees of $30,829.50 $ annually (45 credits)*.
  • Research: $10,347.75 per year (3 sessions, equivalent to 45 credits) or $3,449.25 per session (equivalent to 15 credits) or $229.95 per credit.

Doctorate:

  • $22,241.25 per year (3 sessions, equivalent to 45 credits) or $7,413.75 per session (equivalent to 15 credits) or $494.25 per credit.

Steps to apply for University of Montreal scholarships

1. Apply for admission
First of all, to fill out the application form, make sure you adhere to the established application deadlines and verify the admission requirements of the study programs that are of interest to you.

2. Monitoring your file and receiving an offer of admission
After submitting your application, you will be able to consult your file and receive the admission notification at your Center étudiant.

3. Accept the offer of admission to begin the evaluation.
You do not need to apply for a UdeM exemption scholarship. New applicants’ documents will be evaluated to determine their eligibility and the amount of their waiver scholarship.

4. Accept the award notification with the amount
After receiving your admission offer, the University of Montreal will quickly inform you, by email, of the amount of the scholarship to which you are entitled. Print and save the document in a safe place. It will be very useful for future consultations.

How can I get a scholarship?

All files of candidates eligible for the UdeM exemption scholarship will be evaluated at the time of requesting admission. Therefore, you do not need to apply for this waiver scholarship, which will be automatically added to your file if all eligibility conditions are met. Admissions teams will notify you by email of the proposed amount shortly after you receive a conditional or final offer of admission to a study program.

Eligibility

  • Be an international student and have received an offer of admission to a study program offered at UdeM. Francophone French and Belgians are excluded.

  • Be enrolled full-time in your entire study program, without interruption (except authorized absence).
  • Not benefit from any other form of exemption applicable to registration fees .
  • Not be enrolled in a free study program.
