Brazilian University Group (GCUB) Scholarship 2025 (800 Scholarships)

The most anticipated scholarship for those who want to study in South America. Applications are now open to apply for the Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) Scholarship 2025. The GCUB Brazil Scholarship is a program offered by a group of 55 Brazilian Universities (GCUB). International students can apply for Master’s and PhD programs at any of the 55 Universities in Brazil. Take part in one of the largest international scholarship programs. There is no need for any acceptance letter, nor is it necessary to contact any professor.

This is a publication for Master’s and PhD programs containing information about the university, language requirements, and program duration. The Master’s program duration is up to 24 months and the PhD program duration is up to 48 months. Scholarship coverage

Each selected candidate will receive the following benefits:

  • Exemption from payment of registration fees, tuition or academic fees.
  • A monthly fee to cover living expenses for the duration of the program.
  • Scholarship applications are free of charge.

For CSO Member States: 400 Scholarships are reserved

OSC Members

Organisation of Southern Cooperation (OSC) with the Spanish name Organization of Cooperation of the South, which is made up of the following countries:

1. Afghanistan, 2. Botswana, 3. Burundi, 4. Cambodia, 5. Comoros, 6. Congo, 7. Costa Rica, 8. Ivory Coast, 9. Djibouti, 10. Eswatini, 11. Ethiopia, 12. Cooperative Republic of Guyana, 13. Jordan, 14. Lesotho, 15. Mozambique, 16. Nicaragua, 17. Niger, 18. Nigeria, 19. Palau, 20. Palestine, 21. Somalia, 22. Gambia, 23. Togo, 24. Tunisia, 25. Turkey, 26. Uganda, 27. Yemen, 28. Zimbabwe.

Students who will receive GCUB scholarships from OSC member states. OSC will provide up to USD 1,500 per student for airfare, visa processing, international health insurance and other personal expenses not covered by GCUB partner universities.

Requirements for the GCUB scholarship

  • Submit the complete application in English, Portuguese, French or Spanish.
  • The scholarship is open to citizens of a country that maintains diplomatic relations with Brazil.
  • Brazilian citizens are not eligible.
  • Airfare, visa processing and medical insurance are not covered by the scholarship.
  • Submit educational documents.
  • Each candidate can apply to five master’s or doctoral programs, at different universities.

Necessary documents

Candidates must upload these documents in the online application:

  • Copy of passport, it can also be another identity document
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Copy of all certificates of studies, diplomas, academic records and previous degrees.
  • Submit an essay and follow the structure:
  • Times New Roman font
  • Size 12;
  • 2.5 cm margins (top, bottom, right and left), with 1.5 cm line spacing.

Announcement of results

The list of selected participants will be announced later this year, on September 25, 2024. The fellowship will begin in 2025.
